South Costa and North Costa

There is a big difference geographically between the island’s north and south beaches.

The south coast offers abundant pine groves, white sand and calm turquoise waters. Here you will find unspoilt beaches such as Macarella, Binigaus, Son Saura, Cala Mltjana or Es Talaler, which all seem like paradise. And if you want beach activities or special services your best choices will be Cala Galdana, Cala en Porter or Son Xoriguer beaches.

The northern beaches are quite different as a result of greater erosion. The sand is thicker and darker; moreover the vegetation is not as high as in the south.

lf you wish to discover unspoilt gems, visit Cala Pregonda, Cala Algaiarens, Cala Pilar, Binimel·là, Cavalleria or Cala Morella. North coast beaches which offer services are not as plentiful as in the south, but there are some at s’Arenal den Castell, Cala Tirant and Arenal de Son Saura (Son Parc).
