Monte Toro is the highest elevation on Menorca at 257 metres. On its summit is the Verge del Toro Sanctuary, spiritual centre of the island.
The Penyes d'Egipte rock formations form a singular and spectacular landscape in the island. These are formations of basaltic rocks, jutting out due to the geological activity that long ago made the islands emerge from sea.
